Kasteel van Zink is a castle estate in Merelbeke, East Flanders, rooted in medieval tradition as the seat of the Munte lordship, featuring a moated structure with chapel and dungeon that evolved significantly through centuries of adaptation. The present neo-traditionalist castle took its current form around 1900 following extensive restoration by the Verstraeten family, incorporating remnants of the original medieval keep within its stonework. The estate showcases a remarkable long avenue stretching over one kilometer leading westward, accompanied by period castle farmhouses dating to the 16th and 17th centuries, preserving a substantial heritage complex within private grounds requiring special permission to access.
