Château Jemeppe, also known as Hargimont Castle, is a medieval fortress transformed into an elegant hotel located in Marche-en-Famenne in the Belgian Ardennes. The castle's origins date to Roman times with a fortified villa, but the present structure evolved from a 13th-century square keep built for defense purposes. The original keep, 23 meters high, was restructured into a castle in 1616 by heiress Catherine de Jemeppe. Set within a 60-hectare park, the castle now features 80 guest rooms combining historic character with modern amenities including an indoor pool and sauna.
