Château de Lovendegem is a historic castle in East Flanders with documented origins dating to the 13th or 14th century. The castle evolved significantly over centuries, beginning as a fortified stone dwelling and expanding during the 17th century with the addition of a north wing and chapel. Between 1885 and 1888, architect P. van Kerkhove oversaw a complete reconstruction into the eclectic castle visible today. Now privately owned by Baron Patrick de la Ladoucette of the renowned Pouilly Fumé wine estate in France, the castle remains private property and is not open to public visits.
