Kasteel Neerhof in Grobbendonk is a distinctive U-shaped castle complex built in 1586–1587 in brick and sandstone with stepped gable architecture characteristic of the period. Originally the "lower farm" (neerhof) of the main castle, it served multiple functions including rent collection, criminal detention, and agricultural production to supply the lord's residence. Notably, an underground passage provided an escape route to the main castle. The structure features corner towers flanking an ornate gate building, representing key defensive and administrative architecture of the Kempen region. Now municipally owned since 2022, the site is open to the public as an important heritage landmark.
