Hof ter Zittert is a six-hectare moated manor estate in Bekkerzeel, Asse, with medieval origins dating to the 13th century when the Zittert family acquired the property. The current castle structure dates to the mid-18th century in classicist style, undergoing significant renovations in 1832 and 1958 that gave it its present neoclassical appearance with whitewashed brick facades and sandstone detailing. The rectangular manor features two stories plus a mezzanine, surrounded by a moat accessed via a brick arch bridge, with associated service buildings including stables, a caretaker's cottage, and a bakehouse. Protected as a monument since 2002, the estate remains a remarkable example of Flemish country house architecture.
