Wolfpassing Castle is a magnificent Baroque structure nestled in the Mostviertel region of Lower Austria, in the Scheibbs district. Count Ferdinand Auersperg gave the castle its current appearance in the middle of the 18th century, creating a stately four-story, four-winged building distinguished by five-story round corner towers with conical roofs and an impressive two-story arcaded courtyard with a baroque chapel. In 1910, Archduke Franz Ferdinand exchanged the property for Blünbach Castle in Salzburg, after which the Austrian War Ministry administered the estate as an agricultural operation with livestock. During World War I, the castle served as a convalescent home for officers, and today it remains a significant cultural and historical landmark in Lower Austria's heritage landscape.
