Weinzierl Castle is a tranquil Baroque estate situated in Weinzierl near Wieselburg in the Mostviertel region of Lower Austria. Originally a medieval farm, it was expanded into a four-winged complex with Baroque architecture by Johann Carl Weber von Fürnberg in the 18th century. The castle holds historical significance as the location where composer Joseph Haydn received his first professional engagement around 1755 and composed his early string quartets. Today it houses the administration of the Francisco Josephinum agricultural institute and serves as a cultural and events center.
