Altkettenhof Castle in Schwechat is a Baroque manor house with medieval roots, originally built in the 13th century and expanded over centuries. In 1760, it became the property of Heinrich Kajetan von Blümegen, Imperial First Chancellor, who significantly enlarged the complex. Following redesign in Neo-Baroque style by architect Emil Bressler in 1902, it served as a military hospital during World War II. Since 1960, Altkettenhof has housed district court functions and, since 1964, the Austrian School of Justice, serving as an important institutional and architectural landmark near Vienna.
