Schloss Weinberg is a significant Renaissance-era castle complex located above the village of Kefermarkt in the Mühlviertel region of Upper Austria. Originally constructed in the 11th century and restructured in 1600 by Hans Wilhelm von Zelking, it dominates one of the region's typical ridges and is considered one of the mightiest citadels of the Mühlviertel. After nearly becoming uninhabitable in the 1980s, the castle was renovated and has served as a regional music and education centre since 1989. Its most impressive feature is an enormous ring wall, and the castle is known for hosting the well-regarded Weinberg Castle Advent market.
