Wildenau Castle ranks among the oldest in the Innviertel region, with its owner Wilhelm von Aham first documented in 1383, and the moated fortress legend connected to Attila the Hun. Before an 1880 fire destroyed much of the structure, the beautiful castle featured three towers and gardens embellished with fountains; today, only the eastern three-story palace wing with attached side wings enclosing an inner courtyard remains intact. A chapel moved from the first to ground floor in 1875 has been preserved and now serves as the local church, displaying three religious relics and reflecting the castle's enduring spiritual heritage.
