Nebersdorf Castle, located in Oberpullendorf in Burgenland, is an 18th-century baroque castle with roots potentially reaching back to the 17th century. Originally owned by the Niezky family from 1446 until 1939-1941, the castle passed into private ownership in 1959 when innkeeper Rudolf Golubits acquired and began its meticulous restoration to prevent demolition. The Golubits family has carefully preserved the castle's architectural integrity, renewing the roof structure, wall paintings, and stucco work while maintaining historical authenticity. Today, the castle functions as a distinguished event venue and celebration backdrop, featuring a magnificent banquet hall adorned with a 1773 fresco by Stefan Dorfmeister depicting the gods on Olympus. Surrounded by a lovingly maintained park, it offers an idyllic setting for weddings and special occasions.
