Eybesfeld Castle is an aristocratic residence located in Lang, Styria's Leibnitz district, with roots tracing to medieval land holdings of the Eppenstein family. Originally a farmhouse, it was developed into a noble castle by Gottfried Freiherr von Eibiswald and named Eybesfeld. The Conrad-Eybesfeld family acquired the estate in 1851, with Sigmund later elevated to baron status by Emperor Franz Joseph I in 1870 and serving as Minister of Culture and Education. The castle remains under continuous family ownership and functions as both a residential property and real estate development, representing centuries of architectural and cultural heritage in South Styria.
