Lackenbach Palace served as the principal Esterházy residence and seat of the Hungarian Viceroy during the 17th century, after the family acquired the domain through marriage in 1612. Today, refurbished sections of the palace house an interactive museum titled "On Nature's Trail" offering sensory experiences, welcoming visitors daily as a modern natural history venue while preserving its architectural heritage.
