Schloss Rosenburg, a stunning Renaissance castle perched high above the Kamp Valley in Lower Austria, showcases 12 centuries of architectural evolution from its 1175 origins. Initially damaged by Hussite forces in 1433, most of the castle was demolished and reconstructed in Renaissance style from 1593-1597 under Sebastian Grabner, gaining 13 towers. Further expanded in 1614 with tournament grounds and 46 arcades, the castle today offers falconry demonstrations in historical costume, four themed gardens including a David Austin rose garden, and hosts theatrical events, concerts, and celebrations within its compelling medieval setting.
