Schloss Kirchberg am Walde is a medieval castle in Grafendorf bei Hartberg, Styria, originally built around 1130 by Count Ekberg II of Formbach-Pitten as a seat of power for regional administration. The three-story baroque-early classicist structure features a rectangular layout with columned arcades surrounding a central courtyard and a distinctive square stair tower with pyramid roof. Since 1923, it has served as an agricultural college, contributing to regional education and cultural preservation. The castle's exterior displays a stone Auersperg coat of arms, commemorating ownership by the Counts Auersperg from 1670 to 1802, while a protected Marian column dating to 1667 stands nearby as a historical monument.
