Schloss Bergheim in Feldkirchen an der Donau, Upper Austria, traces its origins to 1111 and once served as a distinguished residence with three- to four-storey architecture surrounded by moats and defensive walls. The castle's oldest sections date from the 15th century, with significant renovations in 1867-68 establishing its current appearance. Historically owned by various noble families including the Fieger and Pereira-Arnstein houses, it housed an agricultural technical college and remains an important cultural monument in the Danube region.
