Schloss Ernstbrunn is a historic castle positioned at approximately 360 metres elevation in Dörfles, part of the market town of Ernstbrunn in Lower Austria's Weinviertel region. The castle showcases a rich architectural evolution spanning from its medieval core dating to the 11th century through baroque and classicist additions, reflecting centuries of artistic development. The castle became the seat of the Ernstbrunn branch of the Counts of Sinzendorf in 1592 and remained an important aristocratic residence until the last Sinzendorf died in 1822, when it transferred to the Köstritz branch. Currently in private ownership by a Reuss family member, the castle rarely opens to the public but remains an important cultural landmark in the region. Visitors can occasionally access the property during special events such as International Monument Day.
