Villa Madonna is an Art Nouveau castle residence perched on the slopes of the Kruisberg in Ronse, East Flanders, spanning approximately one hectare of gardens. Originally established in 1879 when peace judge Edmond Matthijs-Vuylsteke purchased the grounds and built a Flemish Renaissance pavilion, the current villa was constructed beginning in 1906 under commission from Matthijs through renowned Ghent architect Modeste de Noyette. This eclectic structure blends neo-gothic, neo-renaissance, neo-Romanesque, and cottage-style elements characteristic of early 20th-century design. Today, Villa Madonna welcomes visitors and accommodates events including meetings, workshops, and creative projects, offering an elegant historic setting at Kruisstraat 368.
