Vêves Castle, located in Houyet in Namur Province near the village of Celles, ranks among Belgium's most beautiful and exceptional medieval castles. Tradition traces its foundations to the 8th century under Pepin of Herstal, though the present structure in an irregular pentagonal form flanked by six round towers largely dates from around 1410. The castle dramatically perches on a rocky outcrop overlooking picturesque countryside along the historic Dinant-Rochefort route. Fully furnished with 18th-century pieces, the castle welcomes visitors to explore its authentic rooms and interiors.
