The Tower of Andrade is a distinctive 15th-century octagonal tower in Vilalba, Galicia, standing 40 meters tall and originally part of the Lords of Lemos' holdings. Following destruction during the Irmandiños revolt and subsequent reconstruction, the tower was redesigned with its unique octagonal shape to withstand gunpowder artillery—an innovation rare in Galicia. Restored in the 1960s and converted into the Parador de Vilalba four-star hotel, six rooms occupy the medieval tower while maintaining period details including mural paintings and coats of arms, with a restaurant serving traditional Galician cuisine.
