Torre del Espartal is a medieval cylindrical watchtower in Priego de Córdoba dating to the taifa period, featuring characteristic masonry construction with its lower half filled in and upper half hollow with a terrace. Part of an extensive network of watchtowers built throughout the region, this fortification represents the sophisticated defensive architecture of early medieval Andalusia. Recognized as a Cultural Heritage Asset, the tower sustained partial structural collapse in 2016 but prompted municipal restoration efforts and use concession agreements to preserve this important monument.
