Torre de la Torrassa is a 12th-century medieval tower located in Vall de Uxó, in the Plana Baja region of Castellón province, Spain. This defensive structure of Muslim origin features a rectangular floor plan constructed from rammed earth (tapial) built upon a foundation of medium-sized stones bonded with mortar. Originally positioned within a small Arab settlement, the tower was strategically situated to defend communities that flourished in the medieval period. Recognized as a Bien de Interés Cultural (Cultural Interest Asset) since 2008, the tower exemplifies the sophisticated building techniques employed by Islamic builders in medieval Spain.
