Torre de la Móra is a circular coastal watchtower in Tarragona constructed in the 16th century following devastating pirate raids by Algerian corsairs in 1561. The stone tower features an internal diameter of 4.20 meters with walls 1.50 meters thick and three square gun ports facing south, east, and west, positioned strategically to defend the cove against maritime attacks. Located near the peaceful Marquesa forest and integrated into the coastal landscape of Costa Dorada, the tower overlooks beautiful beaches and hidden coves including Cala de los Alemanes. Today it remains a historical monument and cultural landmark representing the region's maritime heritage and defensive architecture from the early modern period.
