Torre de Fornelos in Crecente, Pontevedra, is a medieval castle keep dating to the 12th century with its first documented reference in 1158. Originally a rectangular fortress featuring a square-based tower standing nearly 20 meters high, it occupies a strategic position on the right bank of the Ribadil river in Galicia. The castle witnessed historical conflicts between the Kings of Galicia and Portugal during medieval times. Though now in ruinous condition, the tower, partial walls, and remaining dependencies are still visible, offering insight into medieval Galician fortifications. The site received official protection status in 2022, being inscribed as a Cultural Interest Good.
