Torre de Figueroa

Torre de Figueroa is a Renaissance-style watchtower in Abegondo, Galicia, constructed in the 12th century with major repairs documented in 1621 by Ares Pardo de Figueroa, a knight of the Order of Santiago. The tower features a rectangular floor plan measuring approximately 9 by 10 meters, built with masonry and ashlar at corners, with three stories topped by distinctive triangular crenellations. Part of a substantial pazo complex that includes a chapel, cellars, stables, and agricultural structures, the privately owned tower remains well-maintained and inhabited, preserving centuries of architectural evolution despite modern adaptations.
