Torre Árabe de la Torre de les Maçanes in Torremanzanas, Alicante, dates to the late Islamic period (12th-13th centuries), when it protected the alquería (rural settlement) of Iri. The square tower measures approximately 10 meters per side and 15 meters high, featuring a surrounding defensive wall (cortig) with visible eastern sections still standing. The fortified enclosure likely contained a mosque and interior chambers. After Christian conquest in 1246, it became known as "Torre de Maçanes." Queen Sibil·la of Fortià commissioned repairs between 1380-1382. The Rovira family donated the tower to the municipality in 1989 following centuries of private ownership. Following conservation work (2006-2009) and museum development (2011), the site now welcomes visitors on weekends with recovered artifacts and exterior fortification displays.
