Tannbach Castle

Schloss Tannbach is a three-story castle with corner turrets crowned by onion domes, beautifully positioned at the edge of Gutau in the Mühlviertel region of Upper Austria. First documented around 1400 as a freehold estate, the castle underwent significant transformation in the 19th century, acquiring its distinctive architectural character with an open ridge turret and lantern crowning its roof. Completely renovated by the Weißengruber family after 2006, the well-maintained castle now serves as a private residence and working farm estate, admired by visitors from the exterior.
