Shankill Castle is a family-owned historic residence in rural County Kilkenny, approximately 90 minutes from Dublin. Owned by the Cope family since 1991, it welcomes visitors to experience a blend of history, contemporary art, and organic farming. The castle maintains its original features while showcasing vibrant artwork by family members. The grounds feature a Victorian walled garden, moated areas, woodlands, and contemporary sculptures. Visitors can enjoy guided house tours at 3 p.m., explore themed gardens, dine at the Coach House Café serving homemade organic fare, browse the farm shop, and view rotating art exhibitions. Open seasonally April through October on weekends and Fridays.
