Picton Castle is a magnificent 14th-century stronghold originally built at the end of the 13th century by a Flemish knight, located two miles south-east of Haverfordwest in Pembrokeshire. The castle is surrounded by 50 acres of tranquil gardens designated as an RHS Partner Garden, featuring a unique collection of rhododendrons and azaleas, mature woodland, an exotic jungle garden, a restored dew pond, and herb collection with medicinal labels. Visitors can explore the largest walled garden in the UK, fairy doors in shaded woodland, and family trails. Open year-round (except Christmas and New Year), the site offers outdoor exploration suitable for all ages and abilities.
