Palacete Linneo de Paula Machado in Rio de Janeiro is an early twentieth-century French beaux-arts mansion built around 1910, designed by architect Armando Carlos da Silva Telles. Originally a wedding gift from Candido Gaffré to his bride Celina Guinle, daughter of the prominent Guinle family, the 16,000-square-foot palace sits on grounds six times its size, making it the last surviving example of aristocratic French-influenced mansion architecture in Rio de Janeiro. Designated as heritage at both state and municipal levels, the property was acquired by the Federation of Industries of Rio de Janeiro in 2012 and transformed into Casa Firjan da Indústria Criativa, a cultural production and creative industry hub serving as a testament to Rio's architectural heritage.
