Mingary Castle

Mingary Castle is a luxury hotel and fine dining restaurant housed within a restored 13th-century fortress on the Ardnamurchan Peninsula in Highland Scotland. Originally built around 1265 by the MacDougalls, this stone castle survived centuries of Scottish clan conflicts and the 1588 Spanish Armada attack before falling into serious disrepair. The property underwent extensive restoration beginning in 2013, transforming it into an upscale hospitality destination. Today it offers four named suites with contemporary comforts and a restaurant serving multi-course tasting menus featuring locally sourced Scottish ingredients. Set within the 12,000-hectare Ardnamurchan Estate, the castle provides access to dramatic highland scenery encompassing mountains, moorland, and seawaters rich in wildlife.
