Medieval Walls of Béjar encompass two parallel defensive structures built initially by Moorish architects in the 11th century, then expanded and reinforced by Alfonso VIII in the 13th century. These walls, which converge at the Puerta del Pico, once completely surrounded the town of Béjar, declared a Historical Site for its well-preserved medieval character. The accessible walls allow visitors to walk atop historical ramparts from the Plaza Mayor westward, providing spectacular panoramic vistas of the town and Sierra de Béjar landscape.
