Margarethen am Moos is a four-winged castle in Lower Austria, originally built in the 11th century and first documented in 1336 as a defensive fortress. Following its conversion to a water castle in 1686, extensive restoration around 1760 established its baroque character. The structure features a distinctive nine-axis façade with a central projection and rounded corners, while its interior chapel showcases frescoes from the circle of Franz Anton Maulbertsch. Today, the castle serves as an elegant event venue, hosting weddings, celebrations, and cultural occasions within its historic walls.
