Lough Cutra Castle near Gort, County Galway, is a privately owned 19th-century castle commanding an unrivalled setting on the shores of Ireland's largest private lake in rolling parkland. Designed by renowned English architect John Nash and completed in 1817 for Colonel Charles Vereker, 2nd Viscount Gort, the castle represents a substantial investment in elegance and landscape design.
