Originally Gothic, the castle was transformed around 1600 into a four-winged water chateau under Prince Gundakar of Liechtenstein. The fully renovated castle now welcomes visitors with guided tours, rotating art exhibitions, and a local history collection featuring 10-million-year-old elephant and rhino bones alongside Neolithic artifacts. Its historic cellars host a rotating weekend wine tavern where local wine-growing families showcase regional wines, and the Schlossfestival brings open-air operetta performances to the courtyard during summer months.
