Jardins de Barbirey encompasses 8 hectares of gardens at the confluence of the Ouche and Gironde valleys in Côte-d'Or, designated as a Remarkable Garden since 2004 and registered as a Historic Monument in 2005. The estate features an English-style garden, botanical garden, and superb 18th-century terraced vegetable garden overlooking a 19th-century landscape park. Originally acquired by banker Jean Paris de Monmartel, the château was built by his son, the Marquis de Brunoy, with significant 19th-century restorations and recreations over three decades. Today, artistic interventions and the annual festival Entre cour et jardins establish it as a vibrant cultural meeting place in Burgundy.
