Knypersley Tower, also known as Warder's Tower, is a Grade II listed gamekeeper's cottage constructed in 1828-29 as a red sandstone miniature castle on the banks of Knypersley Pool in Stoke-on-Trent. Built by landowner John Bateman to house the estate gamekeeper and serve as a landscape ornament, this romantic structure was designed to guard the property's deer herd and waterfowl from poachers. Though occupied until the 1950s, the tower now appears on English Heritage's Buildings At Risk Register and provides sanctuary for several endangered bat species, representing a unique example of 19th-century estate architecture and wildlife conservation.
