Kellie Castle dates from 1360 and represents a substantial T-plan tower house on a south-facing slope overlooking Fife's East Neuk. Built in two phases between 1566–1602, the castle was restored from near-ruin by the Lorimer family in the late 19th century, becoming a showcase of Arts and Crafts design. Visitors discover lavish interiors featuring intricate plaster ceilings, artworks by celebrated pioneers including Phoebe Anna Traquair, and Sir Robert Lorimer-designed furniture. The Victorian garden blends rose beds and ornamental planting with edible plants, while the castle stables now display sculptures by Scottish artist Hew Lorimer. Now managed by the National Trust for Scotland, Kellie offers a complete experience of artistic heritage and garden beauty.
