Kasteel van Snellegem

Kasteel van Snellegem, also known as De Boeverie, is a neo-Louis XIII castle constructed in 1874–1875 for Baron Edmond le Bailly de Tilleghem in Jabbeke, West Flanders. This eclectic architectural gem is set within an English-style landscape park established in the same period. In the 20th century, the estate was home to Bénédict Gillès de Pélichy and his family of nine children. While the castle domain was substantially subdivided after World War II, with villa buildings now interspersed around it, the castle and its outbuildings remain a notable landmark reflecting late 19th-century noble architecture and estate design in Flanders.
