Kasteel van Opleeuw in Borgloon is a 17th-century castle that served as the seat of the Lords of Opleeuw, tracing its noble lineage back to the 13th century. Extensively modified between 1740 and 1775, the castle features a distinctive architectural design with a central wing flanked by two short transverse wings and towers on the north side. The estate preserves authentic 17th-century cellars from its origins as a water fortification, along with a remarkable ice cellar hidden within the surrounding woodland.
