Kasteel van Opdorp is a historic castle in Buggenhout, East Flanders, with roots extending back to the 16th century when it was first documented as a fortified dwelling. The castle underwent major rebuilding in 1887–1888 following a complete demolition of the older structure. Today it houses the Heemkundig Museum Ter Palen, which showcases the rich history of Buggenhout. The castle grounds feature a restored ice cellar that has been repurposed since 2019 as a winter habitat for bats, blending historical preservation with contemporary conservation efforts.
