Kasteel van Kwabeek stands in Boutersem, Belgium, as a historic fortress with origins dating to the 14th century when it served as an important fief of the Duchy of Brabant and one of the region's most formidable defensive structures. The present castle core was erected in 1718 and underwent eclectic renovation after 1922, now functioning as the municipal town hall since 1980. The accessible estate features rose and herb gardens, parkland, and playgrounds, highlighted by a remarkable 1810-planted Oriental plane tree with a trunk circumference of approximately ten meters, making it one of Belgium's thickest multi-stemmed specimens.
