Kasteel Ter Motten

Kasteel Ter Motten stands in a spacious park in the center of Dilsen along the national highway, serving as the municipal town hall since its acquisition by the municipality in 1973. Built in Baroque style in 1725 by Michel De Rosen, the castle has a history spanning from its origins as a Loon fief to its successive ownership by families including Van Rommershoven, Van Horpmaal, and De Coursel. Designated as a protected monument in 1985, the castle reflects centuries of architectural evolution and remains a functional public building while preserving its heritage character in the Limburg region.
