Kasteel Hogemeyer

Kasteel Hogemeyer is a neo-gothic manor with roots dating to 1323 as a farmstead before evolving into a grand manor house in 1750. Located in Kortenaken, the estate was significantly expanded in 1860 by Baron Emile Joseph de Turck, who added a distinctive neo-gothic chapel around 1859. Protected as a designated heritage monument since 2001, the castle showcases multiple neo-gothic structures including stables and chapel buildings across its grounds. After decades of abandonment following a costly renovation attempt halted in 1999, the castle was sold to new ownership in 2019, offering potential for renewed significance as a preserved historic estate in Flanders' architectural heritage.
