Fortress Bosanska Krupa

Fortress Bosanska Krupa is a medieval stronghold built in the 13th century on a hill overlooking the Una River in northwestern Bosnia. Originally constructed in Croatian hands, it fell to Ottoman control in the 16th century, becoming an important strategic outpost for Ottoman expansion westward. Located 30 kilometers northeast of Bihać on the banks of the Una River, the fortress features stunning views of the surrounding landscape and waterways. Though only fragments of walls and two towers remain, the ruins preserve the site's historical significance and offer visitors commanding vistas across both sides of the city and the river valley below.
