Schloss Enzersdorf im Thale is a historic moated castle situated on a peninsula in the Langenthal valley near Hollabrunn, Lower Austria. First documented in writing in 1271 and appearing as a castle in records from 1327, this medieval fortress was the principal residence of the Lords of Enzersdorf for over three centuries until their extinction in 1598. The castle developed during the Middle Ages as a central location in the valley, becoming an important administrative center and contributing to the settlement's growth as a market town. Today, only the western wing remains visible, though it preserves the architectural heritage of a once-impressive moated fortress complex.
