El Cortal Gran is a 15th-century fortified mansion located in Sant Pere Pescador near the Costa Brava in Girona, Catalonia, originally built by the Caramany family. Surrounded by 125 hectares of apple tree orchards that provide natural seclusion, the property encompasses 16,000 square meters of gardens and various recreational areas. The estate features a striking covered arches hall with three stone arches providing medieval character and natural skylighting, a grand porch accommodating 300 guests, indoor pool, greenhouse, temple, and private forest areas. Extensively restored and refurbished in 1999, the castle combines historical architectural elements with modern amenities in the peaceful Alt Empordà region.
