Château d'Escoire is a neoclassical château from the second half of the 18th century situated in the commune of Escoire in Dordogne. The recently renovated historic monument, with its facades and roofs listed for protection, is now open to the public. The property encompasses a nine-hectare park accessible to guests. Notably, the château gained historical significance in 1941 as the tragic scene of a triple murder that remained unsolved, discovering writer Georges Arnaud's father, aunt, and their maid. Today, part of the château operates as a luxury guesthouse, welcoming visitors to experience this storied residence and its extensive grounds.
