Château d'Éguilly

Château d'Éguilly, located in the Côte-d'Or département near the A6 autoroute, traces its origins to the 12th century when it was constructed on a Gallo-Roman site whose ancient road still crosses the castle courtyard. Originally a fortified stronghold with solid ramparts, the structure was gradually transformed toward the 15th century to serve as an episcopal residence, evident in its Renaissance well and 17th-century stables. Since 1983, the restored château has functioned as an international centre for modern and contemporary art, displaying over 200 works across a 700-square-meter exhibition space.
