Château de Vervoz

Château de Vervoz stands in the picturesque hamlet of Vervoz within Clavier, Belgium, constructed around 1764 on limestone rubble stone foundations. The castle features an impressive north-facing façade with eight bays across two levels, preceded by a large portico and basket-handle arch passage to the rear. Owned continuously by the de Tornaco family since its construction, the estate faces a large pond that enhances its romantic setting. Classified as a monument in 1986 and recognized as exceptional Walloon heritage since 2016, the castle exemplifies 18th-century architectural elegance. The property sustained significant damage during a fire in June 2020 but represents an important regional historic landmark.
